Olen kateellinen niille, jotka elävät tappavan tylsää tavallista elämää. Aamulla ylös, murot poskeen, töihin tuttujen pikkutehtävien pariin, illalla salille, takaisin hiljaiseen kotiin, telkkaria ja nukkumaan. Miten ihanan turvallista ja tasaista. Olen kateellinen tutuille ja tuntemattomille jopa heidän huolistaan. Asuntolaina, paska pomo, sitkeät läskit, nalkuttava anoppi, flunssakierre, yksinäisyys, putkiremontti ... Voi jos vain voisin vaihtaa tämän tilanteeni johonkin tavanomaisempaan huoleen. Sen sijaan minulla on tämä syöpä. Minulla on nämä turhat unelmat, joita minä tai kukaan ei ole täällä toteuttamassa. Minulla on se juna, jonka jyly jo hiljenee. Ja minulla on tämä kateus.

I envy those who live a terribly boring, ordinary life. Up in the morning, with breakfast cereals filling the cheek, at work on familiar little tasks, to the gym in the evening, back to the quiet home, TV and going to bed. How wonderfully safe and stable. I envy acquaintances and strangers, even their worries. The mortgage, shitty boss, persistent fat, nagging mother-in-law, flu circle, loneliness, pipe repair ... Oh, if only I could change this situation of mine to some more ordinary worry. Instead, I have this cancer. I have these pointless dreams that I or anybody else isn't here to make come true. I have the train whose rumbling already falls silent. And I have this envy.
