Happy Mother's Day!

Today was Mother's Day in Japan ( I know a different country has a different date for the Mother's Day), and I received two lovely gifts from my daughter: a unique variety of Marguerite and a rose bush.

I've never seen this type of Marguerite before. The flowers looked so cute, and I absolutely loved it. I guess the petarls change color from deep pink to soft pink, and the gradation makes them even more charming.

The other gift was the rose bush in the pictures below. It already has some buds, so I’m really looking forward to seeing it bloom.

This rose is called Le Soir. Although the name sounds French, it's a Japanese variety. I don't have such lovely grayish-pink rose in my garden, so I was thrilled to receive it. I'm very curious how my daughter knew exactly the kind of colors I like.

I planted the Marguerite immediately, and it made my garden more colorful. My daughter called me, and I thanked her for her thoughtful gifts.

Tomorrow will be my grandson's second birthday, so next weekend, I'd love to invite my parents, my daughter, and her family to celebrate his birthday at home. I talked about my plan with her.

After chatting with my daughter, my mom also called me. She thanked me for the Mother's Day gift as well. She said she loved it and sent me a photo.

The picture below shows my gift to my mom. I'm happy that three of us enjoyed celebrating Mother's Day together in our own ways.
