Before Golden week began, I invited my parents and the three of us went to a botanical garden, which has an English style in my hometown. Every year we visit there, so both my parents had been looking forward to visiting there again this year too.

This place used to be a fancy hotel, which was built in 1934, and the Showa emperor, John Wayne, Helen Keller had stayed.

The main building has still remained and you can look at it in the picture below. Since my grandparents' house was nearby, I'd visited there many times with my mom and my sister when I was a kid.

After the hotel moved to the other place, this place has reused as a cultural facility, and there is a beautiful English garden. As soon as we entered, it felt like we had stepped into another country. My dad who's especially loves photography, and I had a great time taking pictures of all the flowers we saw.

Anemones were already blooming. Even though I've planted them in my garden, mine haven't flowered yet. I'm really looking forward to seeing them blooming!

My mom absolutely loved this basket in the picture below. She quietly said she wanted one, so I ordered one for her as a Mother's Day's gift. It'll be delivered on the day as a surprise gift! I hope she'll love it.

Everything there was so charming! While walking, we enjoyed asking the questions to each other, "Do you know the name of this plant or flower?" My dad was always good at responding these questions.

I'm very curious about learning of container gardening, so I'd love to give it a try!

Once we passed under the gate, we felt like that there was a fairly land where was filled with lots of spring flowers.

The roses there were mostly still in bud, so we definitely will go back there to see roses blooming!

It would be incredible all the roses would start blooming at once.

Do you like peonies? We saw incredibly, beautiful peonies there. They are absolutely gorgeous. They made me think I want to plant them in my garden, so I'm looking for the prettiest variety now. Since my dad also loves this flower, I might give one to him as a Father's Day's gift. He has an awesome green thumb, so he'll take care of it very well.

This arch in the picture was covered with roses, so once they start blooming, it's going to be breathtaking! I can hardly wait to see it.

Wisteria, here we come!!!! That was the main reason we visited this time. We missed them last year, but this year was so perfect!

This area is called the Monet's pond because it reminds people of the Monet's painting, " Water Lilies and Japanese Bridge". We were so grateful to see it. The wisteria was in full bloom, and the whole area was filled with their fragrance.

The view in the picture shows Lake Biwa, the biggest lake in Japan.

The next picture shows a large gazebo covered with roses. I'd love to see it with them in full bloom.

Rosa banksiae. Although mine in my garden have already finished blooming, they were in full bloom and looked splendid.

None of us knew the name of the flower in the picture below. It looked hydrangea, but I don't think hydrangeas bloom in spring.

The last picture shows apple blossoms.

We all enjoyed the garden, and we are planning on going back there in mid May. I truly hope all roses there will be in full bloom then and show us another breathtaking view.
