Sometimes it is difficult to come up with the idea what to write about. Maybe just writing about the stuff that I read can be a good practice. Today I've read an article about cuttlefish. Particularly, the article was about strange arm movements of the cuttlefish. The scientists have been speculating what these movements can stand for. They think that these arm movements may be a way of communication. Cuttlefish may attract a mate, confuse a prey or fend off predators through these arm movements. Cuttlefish also demonstrates other interesting ways of behavior. Cuttlefish can blend in with surroundings to hide from predators, or have zebralike stripes in order to attract a mate. All in all, it was a captivating read. I also read an extract from a book about a patient who suffered from epileptic seizures and had to undergo a surgery. His hippocampus was completely removed, and because of that he had lost an ability to transform information from short-termed to long-termed memory. His life was frozen in the present. Despite that, he liked to play checkers, even though he couldn't remember the previous games. That's all that I've read today.
