Hi everyone! I'm preparing for the C1 Cambridge exam, so I'm practicing writing. I would like you to assess this post, please. The exercise is to write a report in 220-260 words;

"As a member of the entertainments committee at the place where you work or study, you have been asked to write a report on the events that the committee organized over the past year. In your report, you should describe events that took place and what they involved, say whether they were successful or not, and comment on the organization of them."

This is what I've written. I'd appreciate your feedback and corrections. Thank you :) (EVERYTHING FICTIONAL).

"

Introduction

The aim of this report is to comment on the events that took place last year and which were organised by our internal entertainments committee. It has been three years since I joined in this committee and it is always a pleasure to be part of it. As we all know, participation in different networking activities beyond the daily working routine has a lot of benefits for the company workforce.

A skiing trip

For those who may not be very into sports, a one-week trip to the snowy mountains to skiing may not be felt as appealing as it might sound. However, everyone who came had a great time and is now looking forward to practicing this sport and to making it part of their lives. If it hadn’t been for the great amount of time that the committee spent planning and organising it, this trip wouldn’t have been such a real success.

A cookery course

Despite the fact that this course was led by one of the most prestigious culinary centre in the country, it was not that well received by my co-workers. Apart from that, this course was scheduled in last July, which is the most preferred month for workers to go on their summer holydays. Moreover, I think that in general nobody was truly eager on learning new cooking skills.

Conclusion

To sum up, I consider that the last events were both planned with the best intentions. Regardless of their success or not, in my opinion the entertainment committee is doing a fantastic job.
