Do you know that "La Raclette" is a famous food in France, especially during winter days? Have you ever tried it? It's melted cheese eaten with potatoes, charcuterie and pickles. It's quite greasy, but very delicious. Most of us would gather around a table and eat it to warm ourselves up during cold days. You can eat it with everyone, mostly with your family, but anyone is free to have some special Raclette for a special occasion such as: Christmas π€(not common though), a friend party or a family dinner. Last time, we were invited over to a friend's home and guess what, we ate... "π§La Raclette π§"
If I knew we'd eat some stinky cheese, I would've brought my toothbrush and my toothpaste, but we cannot predict everything, right? βοΈ
I love it and always buy some of it each winter. Although the price has risen up, I can't help but eat it, at least, once a year. It doesn't hurt, except for the fact that it's easy the gain weight after eating two or three times La Raclette. Most of eaters would feel guilty after eating because it's heavy and greasy, but that's why it's savory (because unhealthy food taste the best in mouth π)
By the way, there's also the "International Raclette Day", the perfect occasion to eat it, at least once. For those who've never tried yet, I think you're going to love it. It has a strong smell, but it's so good that you'll forget about it π€ Today was our fifth times between December until February, but also our last time eating it. I think we'll be waiting for next year for Raclette time because too much of it can make one feel sick and the house needs to be cleaned and airied for quite a long time. But it's worth it if you're a cheese lover. If not, spare yourself π
That's all for today. Thanks for reading my post. Have a nice weekend dear Journalers π€
i dont even like cheese but this has made me so curious π hope you have a nice weekend too β£οΈ
