The first thing I saw when I logged into Journaly was first, the notifications then the several posts about Valentine's day. It's a special day for people all over the world. It's one of the most celebrated event worldwide. It's not only reserved for lovers, but for all the people who feel their heart beating for whom they consider as special ones such as family members, friends and pets.

I love this day, even though I think it's underated here. I know that in some other countries, Valentine's day is way more important to people. Mainly because it's part of the culture and it's become a learned behavior to automatically celebrate it. When I went outside, I didn't see many people buying flowers, even the shops are not that crowded or filled with Valentine's items. It looks different than Christmas time or New Year's Eve. It's more of a normal day than a special event where everyone is rushing to buy what they need for the occasion.

By the way, I feel like people are less and less romantic these days. I don't know if it's just a feeling, but it feels like everyone is busy living their life or maybe they don't think of it as an important day. It reminds me of someone who once told me that Valentine's day means nothing to her because she said: "When you really like/love someone or something, you don't really need a specific day to name, but a name (of the person that you love) evryday. She also said that when you love someone, you must shower that person with love every single day and not only on Valentine's day. It makes sense, based on what she said, but maybe Valentine's day can better help us remember how lucky we are to have people we deeply love and not only romantically.

At times, because we're too busy living, we can forget about the most precious people of our lives. An event can help us get in touch with our own feelings, good or bad. For those who really have no one on Valentine's day and as such feel bad during that day... I was thinking about the homeless who have no home to go to, either a place or a person they feel like home with :(

Alright! That's all for today :)

Happy Valentine's Day everyone :)
