Two days ago, my friend bought the materials to fix the wall, which was deteriorated because of humidity. Humidity is one of the things that, invisible to the eye, can cause a lot of damages in the long run. The wall slowly turns blackish and the wall decomposes itself. Asthetically, it's not beautiful to see and it ruins the room's appearance. It kind of seems like it's dirty in some ways when it's really not.

He bought few utensils, work tools for home like wall painting, mastic, brushes, scrapers and many other things that I can't name because I have no idea what they are used for. He seemed passionate about giving a new life to his wall and I understand why.

He also planned on doing doing the whole room along with all the other ones that need to be refreshed.

He said: "It's now or never! I'm not sure I'll be that dedicated and motivated later..." I laughed when he said that because I felt him. You know, it's like resolutions of the year, you say you'll do new things but then you don't really stick to the annual year that you've planned to be 😕

I encouraged him, but the thing is, he wanted me to help him, but... I'm not good at doing home improvements 😅 I looked perplexed, but he reassured me saying that I'll only have to do the mastic part with him. He said it's the same thing as when I'm painting.

So, we did the job. First, we started scraping the wall to remove the parts that fall on it's own then we filled the wall with something, after that, we went to the mastic part. We haven't finished yet, but we did the biggest part. Applying the mastic was funny to me, it's like painting, but it's still a tedious task when it's a huge surface to cover.

After that, he told me what he had left to do, sand the wall then move on to painting it. "This part, I'm not doing it." I said. He laughed out laud and said "of course not"
