This afternoon, a nearby house started open burning in their field. The air around our house was filled with smoke, and it smelt terrible. The smell even stuck to the laundry I had hung outside, and it was so bad that the odour drifted into the house, making it very unpleasant.
I ended up calling the Environmental section, and they said they would carry out an on-site investigation tomorrow and advise the person responsible for the open burning.

Akiさんこんにちは。初めてコメントします。野焼きですね！うちの近所にも頻繁に野焼きをする人がいて本当に困っています...というかうちの近隣は何故か数軒のお宅が普通に外で物を燃やします。バレル缶だったりお手製の焼却炉のようなものの中で…結構衝撃です。厳密に野焼きと言えるのかわからず躊躇してましたが、煙で喉も頭も痛くなるし私も環境課に連絡してみようかなと深刻に考え始めてます😅
はい、野焼きです！今、田園風景広がる地方都市に住んでいるのですが、住宅も密集しているんです。野焼きは法律で禁止されているのに、あちこちで白い煙がもくもくと...。ここに引っ越してきて衝撃でした。今日、初めて環境課に電話しました。多くの人が報告することで野焼きがなくなってくれるといいのですが。さゆりさんも、環境課に連絡してみてください。
