Yo, morning’s here. It’s all cloudy, and the wind’s playin’ around, whistlin’ through the cracks in the windows, singin’ its own vibe. I checked my phone, and man, it was a mess: all my social networks got blocked. I don’t use a ton of them; I mainly hit up one to chat with my friends, especially the ones in Germany, and I use Skype for my lessons, whether it’s school or overseas. There are a few other networks, but I just use those to jam out to music, and I ain’t got no friends on those.
Today, I found out my German network got blocked too, along with a bunch of others. My mum’s figuring out this blockage and messin’ with my devices. So now, I’m stuck with just Skype, journaling, and YouTube, which is cool 'cause all my real friends are on Skype anyway.
Now, I gotta ask my mum to unblock Telegram since I had a German lesson set up with my teacher there. The ban on Telegram ain’t workin’ for me. I keep a lot of stuff there, and it’s my backup in case my devices act up. I also copy all my writing there in case something goes down with my blog, which my mum hasn’t been able to block yet. Thanks mum!
Anyway, when the sun was high in the sky, casting a warm glow over everything, I wandered into the kitchen to have breakfast. I treated myself to a stack of fluffy pancakes drizzled with syrup, paired perfectly with a steaming cup of fragrant Earl Grey tea. The comforting aroma filled the air, making the morning feel just right.
After my leisurely meal, I stepped outside, embraced by the golden light of the morning. The warmth of the sun wrapped around me like a soft blanket as I took my dog Marley out for a walk. The air was pleasantly warm, and a refreshing morning breeze gently caressed my face, carrying with it the scents of blooming flowers and fresh-cut grass.
Marley, my spirited girl, was in her element, tail wagging with excitement as she eagerly sniffed every inch of her surroundings. She explored every nook and cranny, her nose twitching with curiosity, while greeting fellow dogs with enthusiastic barks and playful nudges. Each encounter was a small adventure, as she made new friends and chased after the occasional butterfly flitting by. It was a perfect morning, filled with the simple joys of companionship and the beauty of nature.
The sun hung high in the sky, a radiant orb casting a warm glow that bathed everything in a golden light as I returned from my walk with Marley. The sweet scent of syrup wafted through the air like a gentle whisper, beckoning me towards the kitchen. There, I prepared my breakfast—a golden stack of French toast, perfectly crispy on the outside and soft within, a delightful contrast that promised indulgence. I drizzled it with rich maple syrup, watching it pool in the crevices like liquid gold, and took a moment to savour the first bite, the warm flavours melting together on my tongue in a symphony of sweetness.
With breakfast finished, I turned my attention to the homework sprawled across the table, a chaotic landscape of scribbles and notes. I settled into my chair, the familiar rhythm of studying grounding me as I immersed myself in the world of knowledge. I flipped through textbooks, the pages rustling like leaves in a gentle breeze, jotting down answers and ideas, while the quiet hum of the house wrapped around me like a soft, comforting blanket.
Once I completed my assignments, I glanced at the clock, its hands moving with a relentless urgency, the time slipping away faster than I realised. I grabbed my school bag, feeling the reassuring weight of my supplies inside, a tangible reminder of the day ahead. With a final glance around the room, I stepped outside, the fresh air invigorating me like a brisk morning breeze as I made my way to school, ready to embrace whatever adventures the day would bring.
At school, the day unfolded in a series of four classes, each one a new chapter in the book of learning. The classrooms buzzed with the energy of eager minds, the air thick with the scent of chalk and the rustle of paper. As the final bell rang, I felt a wave of relief wash over me, signalling the end of lessons and the beginning of homeward thoughts.
Upon my return, the comforting aroma of supper enveloped me like a warm embrace. I stepped into the kitchen, where a steaming plate of dumplings awaited, their delicate wrappers glistening like little parcels of joy. I savoured each bite, the soft filling bursting with flavour, accompanied by the soothing warmth of a freshly brewed cup of tea. The steam curled up, dancing in the air.
After I finished eating dinner, I chilled in bed for a bit before getting ready for my German class. I had to ask my mum to unblock me on Telegram 'cause I’ve got a classroom there, and my teacher ain't too happy if I don’t show up on time, especially if I skip without letting anyone know.
In class, we vibed, learnin' some German,
Words flowin' smooth, like a beat that's churnin'.
Focused on the grind, makin' sense of it all,
Vocabulary stacked, I was ready to ball.
Wrote down my thoughts, hit them books with flair,
Grammar game strong, like I just didn’t care.
Then it was time for my Russian on Skype,
Choppin’ it up, man, we kept it hype.
When class was done, I needed to chill,
Jumped on some games, just keepin’ it real.
Chess pieces slid, strategies in play,
Lost in the moment, as night took the day.
Before I knew it, the clock said it’s late,
Dreams in my head, I sealed my fate.
So off to the crib, with thoughts in my dome,
A day full of lessons, now it’s time to roam.
Wow! A Russian poet. Good work!
I like the first third - it was easy to understand.
The poem at the end was … good reading as well.
