Today, I abandoned my book for the time being and went for a winter walk. Mind you, it is a thriller with promised dark academia motifs.

The Hungarian edition has the same cover.

The world outside has turned into a sort of winter wonderland without any actual snow. The plants: leaves, twigs and the strands sticking out of berries are now covered in soft rime. I finished my leisurely stroll a couple of hours ago, though the land still looks the same out there. I tried to capture the essence of it, but beware, these berries are hardly photogenic 🤦‍♀️. I had some fun with them all the same.

📷:From here the pics are all mine.

All, except the last two, are turned by 90°.

So, a little explanation is needed:

sky ⬅️ middle of the photo ➡️ earth

This one is the funniest.

This guy looks like dried plum in sugar coating.

Gothic vibes come with this berry.

This rime is definitely hardened, it hasn't melted from my warm-blooded touch.

Today's vibe comes partly from this enchanted, winter wonderlandy vibe with soft hues on the one hand.

And today's vibe comes partly from this eerie, gothic feeling on the other hand.

This pic kinda captures both feelings.
