Leaves Changing Color Part 2

Today, after finishing talking to my American friend from Texas on Skype, I headed to a temple called kabusan-ji to see autumn leaves again. When I saw it in Ishiyama-dera last time, I was disappointed at the colors because they weren't at their peak yet. It was a bit early then, so I was really looking forward to this visit.

This temple is located on top of a hill, and it's colder there than where we live. It's surrounded by lots of beautiful Japanese maple trees, and my favorite place to enjoy leaves changing color. Every year, I visit there.

The picture below shows an old graveyard. I'm not entirely sure, but some of the gravestones were broken, and the area looked abandoned.

As we pass through the gate, we are greeted by Japanese maple trees.

Lots of leaves had fallen to the ground, and they looked like a red carpet. It was stunning.

This tree in the picture below is my favorite. Every year, it shows us the most breathtaking color of red.

I absolutely love this vibrant, rich crimson.

White camellia sasanqua flowers were in full bloom next to the lovely maple tree.

I also adore the yellow-orange hues in the foliage.

The maple trees there usually show off incredible colors, but unfortunately, I wasn't impressed this year. I think I missed the perfect timing . In addition, the weather was quite unusual, so before fully changing color, it's possible that the leaves dried out. Since I visit there every year, I'm confident that I'll be able to share better pictures with you next year.
