Two months ago, I went to the biggest ceramic festival in Kyoto with a friend of mine. We look forward to this event every year because we can find unique blank porcelain for painting. It's always so much fun to look around there. This year there were over 100 booths. Since the day was raining, there wasn't crowded.
When I looked at the pictures afterward, I was surprised to see that most of people were wearing half-sleeve shirts. This year, summer really did last longer than usual.
This festival is popular among foreign tourists too, and we saw lots of them this year.
Although my friend and I were looking for white porcelain for painting, many people seemed to be searching for other kinds of ceramics.
I bought these white porcelain pieces.
I chose two pieces from those and started painting.
First, I'd love to paint the inside with very tiny flowers. Painting inside isn't easy, and I need lots of concentration. Even so, it's fun! After I fill the inside with lots of flowers, I'll move on painting the outside. I haven't designed it yet, but probably, I'll paint butterflies or more flowers. You'll see my finished pieces at least in three months.

その陶器市で売っているものは、ぜんぶ日本製ですか?
The flower painting looks like delicate work.
I believe that flowers symbolise ephemeral beauty and butterflies represent the passage from one stage of life to another...me, as always, looking for the hidden meaning of things, Yumi @yumiyumayume .
@Aki_ さん、清水焼きですので、もちろん日本製ですよ~。一度、京都へ是非遊びにいらしてください。案内しますよ。
