Well if I say social responsibility, what would it mean, more or less a kind of cooperation and collaboration for the betterment of society?
But what is the scope of this society?
Is it limited to your family and kin? That is just nepotism.
Or does it extend to people who match our standards or we like? Seems more like favoritism.
Extending beyond that is the betterment of the whole country, and this is a tricky one. Preferring someone who just happened to be born on this side of the border than the other does not really sound that responsible when said out loud. Nationalism is actually the most widespread discriminative philosophy out there.
If we consider the fact that all humanity originated from a single couple and the original couple resided in Africa according to "Out of Africa Theory".
Interesting tidbit: It is said that a white person can come from a black person but not vice versa. Considering, the fact the two black people can have a less black or dark brown baby, which if paired with another dark brown brown person may result in a lighter one. And if this is continued a white baby seems possible because the complexion depends upon presence of amount of melanin in skin. The more you have the darker your complexion. But the reverse is impossible because you can not increase the amount of melanin you have.
And then after years of migration to different locations with different environments, resulting in different features.
Interesting tidbit: People who live in hot areas generally have broad shoulders and big noses so it is easy for their body to release heat. But people who live in very colde areas generally have compact bodies to store as much heat as possible.
It's not hard to see where this is going: Our sense of social responsibility should not be trapped within any kind of boundary but should be global.
The problem arises from the subjectivity of social responsibility....
