What kind of things do you enjoy doing with your family? My family loves eating together. We sometimes host parties at home, and other times, we go out to eat. I think sharing a meal makes the food taste much better and our appetite increase. Once or twice a year, we treat ourselves to fancy restaurants, and we all always look forward to it.
Last month, my daughter's family, my husband and I had dinner at our favorite French restaurant. Although I wanted to invite my parents as well, my mom is still in a rehab center, and I don't want to worry about my dad going home alone after dinner. So, I decided not to invite them this time.
Usually, we have dinner at this restaurant with my parents, so the owner chef asked about my parents when he saw just the five of us. Since my mom loves the restaurant, I felt bad to have dinner without her. Normally, we gather there to celebrate a family member's birthday, but this time, my family celebrated my success at the art exhibition in Italy.
Since my son-in-law was very curious about traveling alone, he asked me lots of questions. I encouraged him to study conversational English because it's such a useful skill. While showing lots of photos, I explained everything I did both in England and Italy.
This restaurant never disappoints us, and all the dishes were excellent except the coffee. I truly believe that Italian coffee is the best, and I really miss it.
My mom is set to leave the rehab center on November 23, so we'll be able to enjoy having dinner together again!

Wow, that food looks delicious. I love going out to eat as well.
Thank you for the comment. Where do you like going out to eat? Maybe Japanese restaurants?
For us in Spain, in addition to meals, the after-dinner conversations are very important. That's when we solve the world's problems, Yumi ( @yumiyumayume ) .
@druida That sounds wonderful! I imagine people have some wine, and sometimes the conversation gets even more lively.
