Polarization

Today polarization is about feelings, not facts.

In the last few years I've seen how our society, and different cultures have been in constant disagreement because all things have to be black or white, positive or negative and so on... I know it's necessary to have our own points of view, and cultural differences, but some people need to understand that some things don't always have to be black and white; the gray spectrum is real life because of the mix of theories, circumstances and opinions is what makes our reality.

In my opinion this topic is problematic due to the fact that right now many people waste their time in meaningless fights in real life, and on social networks. Besides, nowadays anyone thinks they can be an expert just by watching a few videos... They believe that their opinions are the only correct ones and that those of others who are different cannot be discussed in order to discover a new way to develop an issue or solve a problem. Polarization is damaging in areas such as labor, school, politics, religion, family...

On the other hand, I think polarization is stronger today because it creates a kind of antagonism to all the theories, and opinions of those who don't think like us, and that is bad. In addition, we are increasingly stressed, and that also makes us less likely to help others due to a possible lack of empathy. In general, I believe that good discussions can be made by considering different points of view to reach a good consensus, and find the best solution.

This topic is really deep and extensive, but I just want to share some thoughts, in order to practice my writing.

Thank you for reading. Let me know what you think about polarization in the comments section.
