My Initial Impression of Russian

Priviet! 😜

I spun the wheel nine times, and landed on Japanese and Portuguese the most, so I scrolled through the Easy Languages YouTube channel. Then, I watched a Japanese video and closed that channel. Later, a Russian channel caught my eye. I watched three videos on his channel and realized that hello in Russian is the most difficult word for hello that I've ever heard.

So, zdrastvuytie from Russian, my new language.

I also found a Russian video for kids. The alphabet train was as long as a real train. (Ok, apperantly, it's just 33 letters). It sounded "easy," though. Haven't checked its grammar yet.

I learned some random words. For example, there was a word pronounced mush, which means husband in Russian, but it means mouse in Persian. Of course, it sounded funny to my Persian ears. BTW, the word spaseeba sounds like the word sepas in Persian, which means thanks.

πŸ’ (Why do I always compare everything to my native language?)

The Russian intonation reminds me of my Serbian friend, so that's the positive part of it that connects me to the language emotionally.

What else do I remember? D looks like the letter A the way my little niece writes it. What's more, I can't hear the difference between sh and shch.

I don't know if I've started learning it seriously, but I had a fun day with Russian and watched German videos after a long time, too.
