Spanish draft 1. Tenía un buen tiempo con mis amigos anoche. Fuimos a un bar en el centro de la ciudad. Espero que hablen/digan lo mismo (igual?) sobre (a respeto de) nuestro tiempo juntos. Despues, manejé a mi casa.
DeepL correction: Anoche me lo pasé bien con mis amigos. Fuimos a un bar del centro. Espero que dijeran lo mismo de nuestro tiempo juntos. Después, conduje hasta casa.
English: I had a good time with my friends last night. We went to a bar downtown. I hope they said the same about our time together. Afterwards, I drove home.
Questions and Reflections
Anoche - I have failed to put the time (este mes, esta noche, hace un año, etc.) at the beginning of the sentence every time. I think it's okay to have the word order that I do but it's not how it is normally said.
me lo pasé bien - I wrote a literal translation of "I had a good time" Tenía un buen tiempo...I am assuming that doesn't sound right or is just incorrect and "me lo pasé bien" is the way to express this.
Espero que dijeran - I want to make myself use the subjunctive so I'm starting many sentences with "Espero que..." However I wrote "hablen" or "digan" as present tense subjunctive. I think they are the correct conjugations. DeepL put the subjunctive in the imperfect tense.
sobre /a respeto de / de - Say the same think about... DeepL just used "de."
conduje - I had learned manejar meant to drive but perhaps I'm using it in the wrong sense
hasta casa - I wrote "a casa." I get "hasta casa" So, is "a casa" incorrect?
