¡Hola! "Yo" can be used and it's technically correct, but it sounds very repetitive in Spanish, so we tend to omit it. If you think about it, we can tell which personal pronoun we're using just by analysing the verb itself— "Soy", "Trabajo", "quiero", etc., so it's not needed unless you want to emphasise it was you who did something and not someone else :) Hope this is clear enough, best of luck in your language journey!
That’s very clear and it makes a lot of sense. Thank you. Now that I think of it, it is kind of redundant to have both a pronoun and an ending. This also tells me to focus more on the verb and less on pronouns. Maybe that will help me understand Spanish better too.
Hi, Nick, and welcome to Journaly. I recommend you implement your corrections so that you have a clean post to refer to. Just copy the whole thing, post it in a word processor, make all the corrections, then hit the edit button at the bottom of the post, replace the entire thing with the corrected version and Bob's your uncle!
