Hello everyone!
I'm very nervous. I just watched the video of Robin speaking about this site and... wow, I thought I better check it out! Quickly I signed up here and I looked at several posts... What a wonderful site!
I must confess I have a problem with English (and languages in general): I avoid using it. I enjoy reading, watching videos or movies, learning... but my problem is with writing and speaking. Actually I'm working about this: I have classes with a native speaker, I speak a bit with my boyfriend, I try to use it on twitter or twitch... but a long road ahead of me. I think Journaly is an excellent site to help me improve and to learn with more people. Of course, I intend to help others with Spanish, my mother tongue.
Oh, I'm sorry! I forgot to introduce myself! My name's Jessica, I'm 28 years old and I'm an administration branch student while working. I like to read books and play videogames. Also, I'm into exercise like yoga and learning new things about languages, psychology, philosophy... and a lot of other things. I love learning in general.
Nice to meet you!
Hey Jessica! Welcome to Journaly! Your post was great, only a few small mistakes with spelling and word phrasing! I'm also glad you like to read, because in the upcoming days, we're having the multilingual bookclub. The first one is "El Sombra del Viento" by Luis Ruiz Zafon. I'm reading it in Romanian, so I hope you can join us. :)) Otherwise, welcome again to Journaly! I look forward to reading your future posts!

Hello Jessica! I have the same troubles with language learning. Being introverted, it’s much easier for me to practice reading and listening, but of course I want to improve speaking and writing as well. Your written English is already quite good; it’s very understandable even with the few mistakes. Good luck on your language journey!
Good one, Jessica! I hope you'll keep writing and learning. Brava!
Hi Jessica, I think you´re doing really well! And with all the things that you described above which you are doing to improve your skills, I´m sure you´ll reach your goals soon! :) And I know the feeling of wanting to avoid speaking in a foreign language well. When I first learned English it took me a good while to get over that, but at some point it just became second nature to me. Now I don´t even think about it anymore (instead I´m putting off speaking Spanish;) and I´m sure you´ll eventually have that experience too! Good luck!!
