Hey everybody! Today I'm going to tell you about some awesomes facts the short film "Destino".
This masterpiece began at a party of Jack Warner's , where both Disney and Dali were discussing the great idea of making a surrealist short film. But before the beginning of this great project, the differences between Disney and Dali were impossible to avoid. Disney was a visionary man, but in surrealistic waters he didn't have more experiences than Dali. The Spanish surrealist described the story as "a magical exposition into the time labyrinth", while Disney just wanted a "simple love story: A boy that meets a girl", but in spite of their differences the project continued stronger than before their discussions. At that time, Disney had serious financial problems because of Word War II and as a result, all the progress, all the storyboards and a big part of the history just was archivated and the project was abandoned. The project was archived for 58 years until 2003, when Roy E. Disney completed the short film.
In the short film, Dahlia is searching for her love, but her ideal love isn't in this world neither this time. Here, the idolatry of that possibility of find her love, follow an unexplored road where is necessary the auto-adaptation and the continuous bearing of her fears, whereas, Cronos are trying to escape from his time-space line to find her and conquest his heart.
Here, the physic space is just a sort of illusion and the continuous movement of the dancer represent the pleasure of her struggled experience, all this together on the whole for their love. To me "Destino" is the most wonderful love experience because it tell us about the true way to love.
Note: I said that I would be posting "The history behind Destino" the morning before my last post, but I have a new learning strategy and I can't write as much as in my last learning strategy. Anyway, I hope that you have enjoyed my post! I'm going to be here on Sunday talking to you more about my new strategy for learning English.
See you soon!!!
Hi Rodrigo. I struggled with adding suggestions to your 3rd and 4th paragraphs as I am not understanding them (I haven't seen the short film so I don't have the context).
