Hey everybody! Today I'm going to be telling you about the friendship between Walt Disney and Salvador Dalí
Walt Disney is perhaps, one of the most important animators and filmmakers of all times. He had a glorious career and he built the most successful entertainment company since 1928. On the other hand, we have the most awesome and popular surrealist artist from Spain, Salvador Dalí. His long career in the arts has given us a lot of masterpiece such as "The Persistence of Memory", "The Temptation of St. Anthony", " Leda Atomica", "Figure at a Window", "Portrait of Picasso", and "Young Virgin Auto-Sodomized By Her Own Chastity".
Dalí loved all of Disney's movies and he admired Disney as a surrealist. This partnership began a collaboration in "Destino", a short film produced and animated by Disney with Dalí as screenwriter. When Disney visited Dalí in Spain, both talked about this awesome project, but neither Disney nor Dalí saw the final masterpiece.
(In the next chapter I'm going to be talking to you about "Destino", one of the most interesting short films in the history of cinematography )
That's really cool, I never knew that Disney and Dalí were friends! Looking forward to reading about Destino in your next post, I've never heard of that film before.
This was really interesting. After reading your post, I read an article about the Destino in the New York Times from 2003. Now I might need to get Disney + so I can watch it.
@Tyker @manakin Thanks for your comments, today I'm going to be posting the part two!
