Kiitos, @GinaT86!

Yay so glad you like it! It's so funny what little phrases you pick up watching telly. I watched a lot of quiz shows too - Jahti was a good one, maybe it's still on the mtv app - so aika alkaa nyt was a common mantra of mine too, alongside oikein/väärin 😂
Even my husband is getting "sucked in" to this one. I lured him in with the episode about building a bridge that can hold the most weight (he's an engineer) and all I showed him was the testing phase. But now he is hanging around watching entire episodes with me! One thing we both find interesting is the little English phrases that the contestants periodically say.
Oh yes, that bridge episode was so interesting! And yeah it's funny hearing English at random times. I used to hear a lot of "nextille levelille" which was the funniest, hearing it declined like that! And I'll never stop being shocked when they use the English F-word on daytime radio 😲
It's a different culture, that's for sure!
PS - I was looking into events with the local board game group and they have events regularly on Thursday and Friday evenings and Sunday afternoons - all times when I am teaching ESL online! 😕
Oh no, that's bad luck! 😖
