Hi everyone😀
On Saturday, I took the Cambridge First (aka FCE). The results will be available after July 13, but I'm fairly content with myself no matter what score it'll be. My biggest concerns were about speaking part, in which I did quite well. For the last month, I drilled Use Of English like a madwoman and ended up learning essays by heart what I haven't done since my school time.
I even forgot my ultimate ambition which was not getting a high score but improving my command of English and making me more confident in job interviews.
I anticipated my devastation and emptiness after the exam, so I'm not surprised by these feelings now. I hated my text book so much, but now I even miss it.
Anyway, I'm pleased I've done it. Now, I need a new course of action.
But first, coffee..and a good fiction in English, finally.
Congratulations! Well done))
Thank you, @CocoPop!
You're always welcome!
NIce! Is your textbook tailored to prepare for this exam? Did you have a plan to prepare for the exam?
@Ouassou yes, there're lots of exam books, I chose Gold First by Pearson, which turned out too academical and boring. There're much more interesting exam books, but I found it out too late. Regarding the second question: yes, I had a plan and went to the exam gradually since June 2022, preparing most of the time on my own (that was also a challenge).
