Today, I listened a podcat about fishing. The host talks about some aspects of fishing. Fishing is an intersting sport which dose not involve of competition, balls and relate to natural environment and animals. It has many kinds of fishing, such as fresh water fishing whicn fish in a lake or river and saltwater fishing, deepsea fishing and so on. Different kinds of fishing needs different effort and strength. For example, while fishing at the lake, fish are usually smaller than in the sea. when a fish bites the hook, people reels in the fish and bring the fish on land. It dosen't spend a lot of strength. On the contrast, when fishing on a boat in the oacean, sometimes to trap a huge fish means one hour power battle. People usualy use the traditional fishpole which has a hook on the end of fish line but the host of podcast introduce a specific type of fishing which is called flyfishing. Flyfishing uses a lure to simulate a fly flies bove water up and down. When the fly flies down to the water, the fish bite the lure. This is a special type of fishing I have not seen before, but it sounds very interesting. I hope there is someday I willl see how it works. The podcast also introduces using different baits to entice different kind of fish. The most common fish people catch in lakes is bass. People use lure nor real bait to catch bass. These lures have small animal shape, such as worm, small fish. If we want to catch catfish, however, lure doesn't work. We need to use bait which is smelly and sink them to the bottom of the lake.

People have different purpose to fish. some people just want to fish for fun, so they catch some fish and release them. Other people want to fish and catch thier dinner, so they might release small ones and bring that big go home. When I was a child, my family went to fish several times and left me joyful memory. Although my grandfather brought the kits of fishing, he could not catch fish during family events. Kids were too noisy on the pier and no fish came in closely. When I grew up, some of my friends told me they really enjoy fishing, not only during the waiting process they feel calm and focus on, but also feel excited at the moment fish bite the bait and the float sinks into the water.
