Tests and studies

Hi!

So I've spent all previous weekend buried in studies.

And also took the mock JLPT test and was pleased to discover that I'm quite consistent at passing N5 level.

JLPT test is like an offiсial test for determining the Japanese proficiency level.

It was the first time for me to try and actually mesure my language progress. I never did so with English. Because back then when I was learning it, taking tests and measuring felt like unwanted pressure and not a fun thing to do.

But now it feels like it's good to know where you stand and gives you some direction for further studies. Isn't it funny how with age and expirience the perception of the same things might shift?

So when learning a language how would you approach it? :) Do you think tests bring more good or more bad feelings?
