hello everyone!
I haven't been learning English for around 2 years now. I stopped taking classes at B2 level, because I was kinda tired of learning English. I had been learning it for 5 year by that time without stopping. and last 2 years I have just been using the language and can say that it has really improved(but not as much as I want). I try reading books and watch more videos in English, though watching movies/TV shows is still a problem for me. I try to learn more advanced words, but it's really challenging. even when I think that I have found a method, it's a luck if I learn at least a couple of words using it. and I have one really nice Irish friend with who I have been chatting in English for more than a year now, and he has told me that my English was good, but in the same time that "he feel bad correcting my grammar". soo I'm writing this to find out how many mistakes I make. I really need to improve my English :)
thank you for your time! :)
P. S.: have a nice day! ☺️
A few spelling/grammar mistakes here and there, but overall your English seems great. Good job :)
Thank you for the corrections! I really should pay more attention at what I am writting :)
You're welcome. You're doing great, keep it up.
Hi Nika! How have you been learning vocabulary? Have you heard of the app Anki? I find that it's an incredibly effective method of learning, give it a try! You create yourself your vocabulary lists, which may be tiresome, but the advantage is that your vocabulary lists are perfectly suited to your needs. After that step, the app does most of the work, seriously... The app is not widely advertised, because it's free, so it's in nobody's (financial) interest to spread it :)
hi Lokus! learning vocabulary is just a struggle for me! I've tried so many apps and I've also tried Anki (1 still have it on my phone). if you are saying so, I guess I will give it another try! last weeks I was trying using "Byheart". I've decided to make a set with around 40 words(for every language), go through it during the week and then just make another one for the next week and so on. and on Sundays check old sets. I can say that I learned some words doing it, but not as many as I would like to :') by now I just found one method which helps me learn new words. it's just using the language, even from the beginning. but it's not good when you need to add more advanced vocabulary and it feels slow in the process
