I really love learn languages!
But I have a great difficult to keep the frequency, constancy, in the four skills that we need to focus on to learn a new language: Speaking, writing, listening and reading!
During the week I have many activities: I work everyday, I keep my home clean and organized, I study for achieve some goals in my profession (nowadays I'm studying a MBA in Leadership and People Development).
Sometimes, I get so tired and just need to put my mind and body to rest. A little...
It's dificult to organize the schedule and put all those things that we want to do in practice.
Every day I have some contact with the language I want to learn (listen to a podcast or music, read to a book page etc) but I think that it's not enough to achieve the fluency. I just do the main things in my life and what I want to learn I don't dedicated much time.
What about you? How do you organize your schedule to learn languages? And at the same time doing all those daily routine (work, family, home etc)?
If you connect it with something you love it doesn’t require much organizing. For example, suppose you love your teacher. Then you don’t worry about having enough time to do your homework, instead you worry if you have done it well enough, you wonder if you can read ahead in the text book to prepare for the next class, if you can study something on your own to impress your teacher… it is just a stupid example, but you understand what I mean? It has to turn into something like playing with, that you do because you want to do it, not because you have to find time to do it. Ok, now instead of being in love with your teacher, which was a rare example, how about being in love with some movies, some songs, some people, some foods or places in that country, who knows. The point is, you need to find something you love. Then the question just becomes: how do you find time to do your chores and family stuff? That is a question that you always have your whole life, you can’t blame learning languages for a messy house.
Thank you @Nemvagok! I understood your example! ;) I think that anything we want to learn, we need love it or put some emotion into it. It is more fun and turn it more lighter, maybe... And about your question, we are our house and we need maintain more clean, organize... It is our base, do your understand? A messy or a organize house reflects our life also. I live alone, need to do all the tasks... The question is organize all these stuffs, home, things that we need to learn to survive for our work and things that we really love, habits. I would love to work with languages for example but today it is not possible to me... I don't know if I'm using the right words to explain... Thanks for the comment!!!
