We bears don't mess with nature, and we don't put up with nonsense either. Nature doesn't jest, so we prefer to homeschool our cubs. There are at least five laws of physics you can learn just by watching salmon jump upstream in the fall. Don't believe me? Salmon leaps describe a parabolic trajectory determined by their initial velocity. They have an amazing ability to swim against the current and one of the ways they do this is by taking advantage of the vortices/eddies that form in the water. Salmon strategically place themselves in the areas where eddies create a push/thrust that they can use to their advantage. This allows them to move forward with less effort. School curriculum aside, we love to watch the cubs see their reflection in the water for the first time. We wouldn't miss it for the world. You won't find that in any books.

Speaking of nature, let's talk about this crazy weather. Who's messing with the thermostat? This morning it was 37 degrees and now it's 73. That can't be normal.
