I have been struggling when I listen to english. Sometimes I am listening to a podcast and my mind wanders. I begin to think in other matters, remember something that ocurred in the past or something someone told, without even realize that I losed the thread in the podcast. In the last days, I have read some tips to improve the concentration while listening, also, I will buy the book titled "The power of now" tomorrow. I will appreciate if someone can recommend any other thing to me. Thanks.

Hi DanielFelipe,
To some degree, I think that's perfectly normal. When listening to a podcast or an audiobook, I normally don't concentrate too much on it because I normally do other things like driving my car in parallel. If I really want to concentrate on something I'm listening to, I search for transcripts or activate the subtitles on YouTube, for example.
So my recommendation would be to look for a method that works best for you. Maybe you could also try to transcribe certain things on your own or note words that sound unfamiliar, anything that keeps your focus on the listening task.
Hope this helps!
Other think that you can do is try to listen to something interesting. You have to try different podcasts and then you can find out what are the podcasts that are interesting enough to hold your attention. But if you lost your concentration for some minutes then its absolutelyfine. It happens to everyone
I have written a post about podcast you can check that to find some of the podcasts( my fav) May be you also find them interesting. And you can also recommend some of your favourite
Thanks Linda and Jashan Preet, for the feedback and the tips.
