What did you learn recently that really surprised you? When/where did you learn it, and what event or person taught you?
- I learned many useful practical things. I know now perfectly how a toilet works. I had recently water damages and I had to change 4 sealing rings without the help of a plumber. check! and to do so, I couldn't stop water in my apartment so I stopped the water leak with elastic hair. And I didn't notice before that I am so creative with material things.
What's one thing you wish you could explain or teach to someone in your life? Who do you wish could learn it, and why?
- The truth will set you free. I don't know if Jesus was into psychology but I understand that sentence as if he wanted to tell us (or those who wrote the Bible) that clarity about your different dysfunctional schemes is the first step to live better. I'm not into religion but, sometimes, I can relate spiritual sentences to cognitive science and I like it. I like to believe that humans of a very ancient period had tried to resolve the same problems as us.
What's one thing you want to learn more about this month, this week, or today?
- The only thing I want to learn is to live with a more positive mind. I don't realize how much a pessimistic mind affects all your areas until I began to fight it. I fight with two techniques, the first one is to create and notice all the little pleasures you can have during the day. The second one is to have a sharp mind about events. Each event, positive or negative, has its good side and its bad side. Seeing polarities helps me to fight the pessimistic mind. And I have to say, I sprinkle also, over all of this, a few positive illusions.
have a nice day everyone
very nice reflections :)
thank you Nina :)
