Hey guys, I just got stung.
Yesterday I felt something on my leg. I put my hand on it, but I think I've smashed the tiny little bug or spider on my skin.
The stung left a strong red dot, and I felt my leg burning.
When I woke up today, that red dot became a red patch 5 times bigger than yesterday.
This patch is now hot, and it's a little swollen.
What was the last time something stung you?

The last time I got stung was when we had a huge wasps nests in a tree in our yard. And then they invaded our house XD. We had to smash about 20 a day to get them out. And then one time I missed and it took revenge on me XD. Moral of the story, don't miss. :))
Oh ouch. :( Once I did an incredibly stupid thing--I reached my hand blindly into a hole in the ground, while thinking "wow this is a bad idea, I shouldn't do this." And yep, the hole turned out to be a wasp nest!
@TG_KROENING174, ouch. That must be hurt. When I was 4 or 5 years old, there was a bee nest closer to my house. One day they tried to attack us, but luckily we could run and close every single window before they stung us. The 4/5 years old me was who saw the attack first. I was almost a hero haha
@Janewt. OMG! So you needed to go to the hospital, no?
@Bruna - no, I was lucky, I'm not allergic and only one wasp stung me. But it hurt and I sure felt like an idiot!
As I can see, wasps hate humans
Well, I don't know--this fall I had many wasps coming into one room of my house. I couldn't figure out where the nest was, but in the meanwhile I caught each one with a cup and paper and put them outside. One day I had to handle 14 wasps. I didn't get stung once!
I take photographs of insects and would like to encourage people to not be afraid of being stung. I never get stung even though whenever I see an insect, I generally get around 10" to 12" away from it if I don't scare it away first. Once I was trying to take a photo of a moth in a patch of bee balm. To get in the right position, I ended up resting the side of my head against a flower with a bumble bee on it. I could hear really loud buzzing in my ear, but it didn't react to me being an inch or so away from it. We have occasionally left paper wasp nests next to the doors on our house. While they have swarmed around us because of the disturbance of opening the door, no one has ever been stung. That's because when they zoom out of their nest, we have NO reaction. We just stand still and they don't see us as a threat. After a moment or 2, they return to the nest and we walk inside.
