Today I want to speak about my favorite character ) Of course, you know him. In Russian we speak and write Робин Гуд. So, during long time I was thinking that the same in English - Robin Good. And here is a logic. He was a good brave man that's why we call him Robin Good. In English class in middle school we read a short story about him. That day didn't change my life in general but I still remember this shocking discovery. Robin is not good, he just wears a hood.For russians Robin Hood ( Робин Худ ) sounds weird, because a word "худ " means "худой" ("thin") and also it is a synonym of "bad". Real hero can't be bad, that's why, I think, translator decided to change his name.

Ah, I also liked Robin Hood. He was considered a bandit by the authorities. He stole from the rich to give to the poor. It was no wonder that he had to live in the forest! It is not nice to steal from the rich ! They become very angry. :))

Oh interesting! I know that often English "H" gets turned into Г for Russian, but also what a good choice for the translator to choose "Robin Good" over "Robin...Not-so-good."
I think he has an awesome name too! A certain Robin Macpherson of Journaly I think would also agree!
