Running has been a habit which I've been aiming to stick to for years...but every time I started, I failed...until this year.In fact I live in an area where good (for running) weather stays for in the neighborhood of 5 months a year, so i try to catch those months and the weather to run.
This year I started running in April, but, unfortunately, I turned my leg due to lack of knowledge in good shoes. As a result, I could not take a run for 2 months...After healing and vacations, I started running again (namely at the begging of the Agust) and went on doing it. It made me over the moon every morning I ran. I was super motivated, super inspired. I was not wiped out. I could run 5-10 km every single day(my record is about 12km) ... But all of the sudden, my left side started causing a pain (that I felt several times over the past 2 years)and now it hurts, i cannot run and I feel really bad about myself 😫 I'm stressed out and burnt out, actually. I've seen a doctor, but I must go to another one. And the "funniest" thing is that the pain isn't sparked off by running... how are you doing, guys? I hope well 🐢💚.. btw, it's raining herehere
I'm sorry about your injury and your pain. I also love running.
Story of my life! Try walking. I know how shity it sounds (especially when you are used to running such long distances) but trust me, you will still feel alive while maintaining your health and protecting the leg from further damage. Also it could be temporary until you can run again. I've been there!
Have you tried swimming instead? If you have the ability to go for swimming that's one of the best alternatives :)
@Dripdrip 💚🐢~ wow, how often do you run? And when did u started? :0
@naranjamente Thanks for advice💚🐢✨~ i hope it's temporary ;( to be honest, i don't take pleasure in walking, in school time I'm used to walking a lot(my school is far from home) so I'm a little bit tired of just walking :) as for swimming, I can swim only in the weekend, but I need something to do on a daily basis :))
@Tortuguita I run 5 times a week and I started 3 years ago. I'm in my 60s, so I know that it's never too late to start something. I ran a marathhon last year.
@Tortuguita Nice text! I like that you used some informal colloquial phrases. I know the feeling when you get injured while doing something you love. Don't stress, but definitely take the time that you need to rest and recover fully. :)
@zhouyuehan Hi ! 😊cheers ~ I read your comment in the morning I felt much better xd
