I’m, more or less, halfway through the book. So I think that I’ll finish it within the end of August, in line with the deadline of the Multicultural Book Club 2.
I’m loving it more and more. The main character is a little girl and the book is written like a sort of her personal diary, in which she tells, with her innocence and sincere gaze, the life in a very poor quarter. A lot of “vignettes” (as they are called) that portray a variety of unforgettable characters, children and adults, positives and negatives, but always described with respect and humanity.
I think that this weekend I will not go on with the book, because I’ll visit my mother-in-law that, because of the Covid restrictions, I don’t see for months. I will take the book with me, but I believe I will not open it. So, I’ll have to wait Monday to know how it continues.
Hi Guilia, maybe you could mention the book's title in the text because I can't remember which book you chose :)
@ Linda Done. You are right, thanks for the suggestion.
