A few days ago I watched The Brand New Testament, a Belgian movie from 2015.

Although it is not my favourite kind of film, I liked it.

It’s a fantasy story in which the young daughter of God decides to leave her home because she can’t get along with her father, a cynical person who enjoys of human suffering . Before leaving the house, the young daughter decides to get revenge against her father and she sends a message to every person to reveal the date of their death. This fact creates changes in every person, and in their lives: they finally decide to leave their bad situations and follow their dreams.

I love this point of view, it’s interesting to asking ourselves: what would I do if I had the opportunity to know how much time I have to live until I die? And then my reflection is: also if we don’t know when we will die, why we procrastinate our changement of life?

This film addresses an existencial topic with fun and encourages deep reflections on our lives and how we spend our time.
