Happy Friday fellow Journalers !
A brief message today. Un breve messagio .Uma breve mensagem . Un mensaje corto. Icelandic...Mmmm ?
I am not in general a journal or a diary person. I have tried in the past and usually it died off after a week or two.
But it was never for languages, but this one is different. I will divide each page into four parts.
For my Italian, Spanish, Portuguese and Icelandic ( the slowest one ! )
I confess , after two days of learning the Icelandic alphabet I got tired, BUT, I will return to it and will honestly chart my progress in all four. I did say I was going to spend at least two months on the Icelandic alphabet alone.
So, it is a brief message. Keep up the good work and a happy weekend !

I can't wait to see your journal :)
Well, one day you just might be first in line Nori ! Happy weekend. By the way, what is your native language and what are you learning ?
I'm with you and journaling. For this place I'm using it just to keep track of what I'm doing with my Japanese and how it's going. For example, today is a slow day, no learning at all... who am I trying to fool? But think being "forced" to write every day is a good way to stay focus, or at least that's what I tell myself. I hope you get back into Icelandic again, maybe watch a few movies, they have made more movies than you'd think for such a small nation.
hello Cid actually I haven't strayed from Icelandic, I'm just starting, that's why I'll be spending at least two months perfecting the pronunciation. I did see a good Icelandic series but I don't recall the title. However, I'm not a regular " film " type of person. I prefer books. The smell of, the physical holding of a book and turning the pages is a magnet to me ! My wife has a Kindle, they are not really my scene . You shouldn't get hung up about missing a day , or even a week, I find that you return with fresh eyes, ( well I do ) .Enjoy your Japanese !
