Hi everyone! Today I want to talk a little more about lucid dreams.
I still have a lot to work on my skills to get lucid within a dream. Essentially, right now, I need to increase the amount of time I can stay inside of a lucid dream. So I'm looking for ways to stabilize the lucid state and have more time to do my experiences.
Learning how to do things in a dream is so astonishing. And it gets even more so when you realize that everything you do inside the dream world actually changes your brain because the brain thinks everything you're dreaming is real.
With this in mind we can do things like:
- Overcoming social anxiety
- Skills practice (like language speaking)
- Overcoming fears
- And the list goes on...
But here is the thing: Learning how to have lucid dreams is hard! I think that is why most people don't even know it exists.
But if you keep practicing with perseverance you will learn it for sure!
Just stay lucid...
Lovely writing. Good luck with the lucid dreaming! I've heard about it but not tried it, it does sound so difficult...
please, keep going with the lucid dreams! for me, your posts about it are like a soap opera haha, but anyway, about practicing English speaking skills, I believe that lucid dreams have one limitation, speaking is not only a mental effort, but a phyisical too, your mouth needs to get used to using its muscles in different ways, that's why a lot of people experience some pain in their cheecks when speaking a new language, so, you can improve a lot with lucid dreaming! a lot! but I'm sure that it should be used with real practice as well to maximize its potential :)
@GinaT86 Thank you so much! And yeah, it is difficult, but it worth the difficulty!
@Nori Wow Thank you, man! that is a really great motivation to keep going, these days have been very hard, but I always come back! I'll keep going with lucid dream experiences no matter what.
I think I'll use my lucid dreams skills to do things like:
I'll practice the sounds of English talking with myself I suppose. And when I lose the fear to talk with people in general (with the dreams), I'll start talking to a real native speaker!
