Simit'i Seviyorum. Simit Türk bir ekmeğidir. Kahvaltıda yenir. Chicago'da simit yedim. Benim şehrimde simit yok. Simit için bir tarif buldum: https://youtu.be/Rcn7xAr5n0w. Bir video var. Simit yapacağım! Simit yapar mısın? Bana söyle!

Simit ləzzətli görünür! (Azərbaycan dili türkcə tanış olduğum qədər yaxındır.)
Thank you for your comment James! I've been craving simit for several weeks. It doesn't help that every day I see people eating it in a Turkish TV series! I wonder how close Turkish and Azarbaycan dili are? UPDATE: Wow, I just watched a YouTube video about this. The numbers 1-10 are exactly the same. There's a lot in common. You have a few extra letters. Maybe my next language (in my next lifetime lol)?
Hi Tricia! I did a little digging myself on similarities, because I could understand quite a bit of your entry above. Of course that and the fact that it is about tasty food attracted my attention. 😁 It seems that many verbs are similar. I’ve already found a false friend between the two in terms of nouns. Yikes. 🤓 They might be close enough that you don’t have to wait for reincarnation to learn it. Of course I don’t know how long your language learning list is at the moment - maybe it’s already too long!
Also, that’s completely unfair to have to look at is it and not be able to eat it!
My language list is this long: Turkish. I may go back to Tamil some day. You might be able to find this bread where you live. Sorry, I think it'll go bad if I mail it to you. :-) But there's a video in my post on how to make it. Better yet, it's a short trip to Istanbul....
Hi Trish, so here one correction: Simit (bir) türk ekmeğidir. The rest is correct ;-) You can leave "Bir" out but it's not wrong.
Thank you Özlem! Are you a native Turkish speaker? I'm sure there are çok mistakes in my posts. I appreciate your help!
