Household Chores

Hi everyone, today I’m going to tell you about the most interesting thing that a human being can talk about: their normal and routine course throughout the day doing the chores. I woke up around 08:00 A.M., with my alarm playing some typical random alarm-songs. I went to the bathroom and took a shower. When I finished I went to drink a bit of tea and started my day right away.

I decided start with my bedroom; first of all I took the pillow cases off and replaced them with clean ones. Then I changed the sheets, both the flat and the fitted sheet with other red ones (that looked a bit weird, I gotta say, but at least these were clean). Finally I pulled up the sheets and the comforter and laid the pillows on top. I also swept the floor a little. Oh, and I tidied up my books and other stuff a bit as well.

I thought that after my bedroom I should start on the bathroom, but I realized that I had already cleaned it the day before yesterday, now it should be my sister’s turn to clean it so I went to do the laundry. I was glad because there was not too much laundry in the hamper, therefore it would not take too long. I just threw them into the washing machine, added some detergent and let the washer take care of the rest. In the meantime, I went to do the dishes and I took take the opportunity to make some coffee as well. Yup, because it is always a great time for coffee.

Fortunately, it didn’t take me long to finish with the dishes, there were just a few things. I did it all quickly so that I could fully focus on enjoying my coffee and my bread with peanut butter. Once a finished, I wiped down the table because some breadcrumbs had fallen. Then I got dressed and went grocery shopping.

Shortly after, I returned home. I left the groceries on the table and went to check if the washer had already finished and it had. I unloaded the laundry from the washer and put it all into the hamper in order to hang it all on a clothes line. We used to have a drying rack but one day it suddenly broke, now it lies in a corner of the living room, haha. And with that done, my chores had finished for today. After that, I prepared another cup of coffee and I took a moment to reflect and thank about being able to have these little and simple devices, like washers, beds, blankets. All this is pretty common nowadays but that doesn’t change that they are valuable and help to live better and I’m very grateful for this.
