Well, it was my birthday and I wanted to treat myself. The truth is that I'm not used to drinking anymore.
I was excited about my first sip, so I smelled it and it looked just like water. In reality, it was the beginning of a nightmare: my throat and chest were burning and suddenly Rio was even MORE hot.
I was so naive and misled by Korean dramas... But a sweetness came after, something unexpected.
Soju is nothing like cachaça, which is made out of sugar cane. Cachaça can be smoother and we don't drink it cold.
I haven't finished the tiny bottle yet — which is a shame. I blame Koreans.
Have you tried it? Is there any soju flavor that you think I would like better?

Well written! I've tried plain and flavored sojus before. All of the fruit flavors I've tried have been good.
Thanks, Melanie! Good to know, I think I will give the flavored ones a chance :)
You're welcome! In response to your question about "has nothing to do with," it doesn't sound natural to me in your sentence. One interpretation of "has nothing to do with" is "has no relation to," and since you're making a comparison between two types of alcohol, there is a type of relationship, they're just not similar/alike. I hope that makes sense! Please let me know if you have any other questions.
@Melanie You are so sweet, thank you for replying! I didn't see your response earlier but eventually got it!
I agree with the above: so well written! It's clear that you write a lot and enjoy telling stories hehe <3
omg @paperstar thank you! I think it's because I enjoy so much hearing and reading about other people's stories, that my writing reflects the desire to make something pleasant for others reading :)
