It’s been ten days I wrote here. At first I started writing an article here, I tried to do it everyday and I did.
But, writing everyday is difficult as time goes on. It’s so hard to choose a topic that I write about.
If you have a good idea about writing topics, please let me know.
In my podcast storage box, there were two, which were Culips and NPR. Recently, I added BBC Learning English News Review, because I wanted to get used an British accent. And I also subscribed Oxford Online English on YouTube. There are tons of English study channels, and they are also free. Technology is amazing. I can talk to my daughter who lives in London for free. When I was in Canada around 15 years ago, I had to pay for the international callings. Thanks for a lot of people to make life convenient.
Journaly is a very good tool to study English. I doubted about a feedback issue at first, but I was so surprised to see the fast correction and comment about my writing. Its fantastic, isn’t it?
Thank you so much for making this platform and I am going to use it well until I will be a fluent English speaker.
Haha and here I am feeling proud of my 4 articles. :D You're doing so well!
I'm really impressed! I still haven't written my first post yet! :-)
I also quickly ran out of things to write, my life is boring! One thing you can try doing is writing short stories or dialogues, like something out of a textbook. That's what I tried doing for my latest post and it worked quite well.
I've been writing very random posts, even about what I did on a particular day (cleaning the moka pot - in detail!). I don't think it matters what the subject is; my view is that I'm not a creative writer, and the purpose of Journaly for me is to practice writing in Italian in order to improve my ability with the language generally.
I've also written about my family, daily habits, lockdown, coffee, reading/studying in Italian, etc. I try to write about 500 words, and I spend a lot of time checking my work, but of course there are always several mistakes! For a nice British accent, I recommend the YouTube channels "English with Lucy" and "ETJ English"
You could repeat a topic. That way you get varied practice on that one topic. Robin (the journaly creator) suggested that on his vlog, and I've been wanting to try it. He calls it his interview method. There are also books for journaling that come with daily prompts. I've used one of those books in the past.
Thanks for all the suggestions:)
