While I’m driving my car, I always listen to a podcast. I listen to Culips or NPR. Culips is the best English podcast for English learners like me. I think it’s a little bit easy and slow for an advance level, but for a beginner it’s very helpful. NPR is also good to listen, but it has lots of new words. But I’m trying to switch both for listening.
Today, Culips talked about some idiomatic expressions, so I dictated it.
A: Hey, how much longer do you think this is going to take?
It’s getting late and I get to head home or I’ll miss the train.
B : You know what? Why don’t we just call it a day?
We can pick things up from here tomorrow.
A : Ok, great. I think we’re over the hump now.
I think we’ll be able to finish tomorrow.
B : Yeah, me too. Get out of here before you miss the train.
A : All right. See you tomorrow.
Today is a hump day.
I’m 50 years old, so I’m over the hill.
Podcasts are great for language learning! I don't know where I'd be without the "Easy German" podcast for learning German. :)
Well done Anne!! Your english is excellent as always, with only a few tweaks! :D
Thank you guys :)
Very good!
Thanks for sharing the information about the podcast for beginners, I am studying English and there is a lot of difference with the podcasts that I listened to with the CULIPS podcasts, they are very good.
I'm a French Canadian who try to learn English, and I like the Podcast Culips too, like you Anne90. Have a nice day :)
