The respiratory sistem is comprised of several organs such as nasal acuity, pharynx, larynx, trachea, bronchi, bronchi, bronchioles, alveoli, lungs and blood vessels. Unlike what many peoples think the respiratory sistem do many things besides gas exchange between blood and air. The respiratory sistem participates in teh basic acid balance throuth to increasing and decreasing frequency rate to the darbon dioxide decreasing or retention. It also has the phonation funtion when the air going through the vocal chords. Do you know some funtion about respiratory sistem that no mentioned in this text?

Nice post. To answer your final question, I would add "removal of carbon waste (although that's related to what you said) and also temperature regulation (less relevant in humans than some other mammals).
