I listened to a podcast today, and they talked about DIY. DIY stands for Do It Yourself. When you hear DIY, what pops into your head? Do you think it’s a good thing to do things yourself or is it better to pay a professional?
My husband is very handy, and he really likes to DIY when something is broken in my house. He likes to fix it by himself. But, it takes too much time.
On the other hand, I prefer to hire a professional, because there’s a reason that they are professionals.
They have done that things hundreds or thousands of times, and all of the professionals made the mistakes before.They’ve learned through error and ultimately they became professionals.
The path to becoming a professional is a path laid by mistakes.
I respect professionals in many different fields.

I hope your husband does not read this post. (I’m kidding). Well on the other hand, I’m a handyman too, I respect your opinion, but I think that while one knows how to fix something and has the appropriate tools, we can apply the method of DIY. Now, if it is much more complicated, it’s much better to hire a professional.
