I've been learning conversational English almost for twenty years. Back then, I started learning it to make one of my dreams come true. I simply wanted to learn American-style porcelain painting in the US. I studied conversational English for two years before attending a school in Arizona. Since then, I've constantly attended a lot of different schools and successfully improved both my English skills and painting skills. If you're curious, you can check out my old blog where I wrote about my experiences in the US. These days, I've been focusing on creating my own style of porcelain painting, so I've stopped taking classes in the US.
Through my experiences at porcelain painting schools in the US, I discovered how much fun it is to learn something new while using English. I truly believe I've improved my English skills through that.
My next goal to learn something new while using English is knitting. I'd love to master reading and following knitting patterns written in English and take Zoom classes with teachers from all over the world. That would be so much fun!
To make this dream come true, a couple days ago, I took my first step. I found a KAL (Knit-Along) online and ordered the kit. It's on its way, and I'll receive it in ten days. Although this KAL has already finished, I can still watch step-by-step tutorial videos and knit the project on my own. I'm really looking forward to working on this project in English. Once I become confident enough, I'd definitely love to join a Zoom class in English!
I'll write about my knitting project in English here as well.
