Baduk is a game and called "Go" in among western nations. Baduk is the Korean name and used in Korea, and China calls it Weiqi. In the other hand, Japan and other western countries say it Go. As you can see it, Japan gave the great influence on supplying of Baduk to all over the world. I also play the game every now and again while I'm playing computer games.
Speaking of this game, it is a game, which is played on 19 by 19 lines on the rectangular shape frame(?) and the two players use black and white stones to get their territory. I don't know whether western people know the memorable compete between Alphago, a AI program and a person, Lee Se-Dol, who is the best and legend player in Baduk scene. The total score was 4:1, and AI won the game against human. Were people watching the game disappointed about the result? No, never. While the game was progressing, Baduk fan realized we wouldn't be able to win against AI anymore. It was such big shock for everyone, while we were watching the AI's superior performance and judgements. But lots of people were surprised the result that he could win a game at least one game and a lot of medias, pro players and fans have given super compliments to him until now. The fact human could win AI, Isn't it interesting? And a month ago, other pro Baduk gamer "Shin" won against AI with 2:1 results. The victory hyped us up enough to keep going forward in AI ages. I think AI is not a wall which we cannot climb forever.
It's time to say goodbye.
Thanks for reading today as well.
I'm going to deep in various things in Baduk next time like fair competition among women players, players' salaries and etc about Baduk.
