I had my daughter learn a lot of sports when she was young. The first one was swimming. She didn’t afraid of water, so she learned it very quickly. She still likes swimming. Also she took an ice skating lesson for a year. When she was 7 years old, she and I took a ski lesson together, but the first day of the lesson I gave up. It was so scary and I couldn’t move at all. My daughter and my husband used to go skiing and enjoy it while I was waiting in a snack bar.
I’m not good at sports. Also my parents didn’t care about the sports. They were so busy to raise three children and they didn’t know about the importance of sports or music. I understand them.
After I got married, I’ve learned swimming, so I can do free style, backstroke and breaststroke. But I can’t do swimming in a deep pool where I can’t reach the bottom when I stand up straight. I feel scared when my feet can’t reach the bottom. I don’t know why.
I think that learning sports is important and it’s better to experience it when you are young.
I’ve lived my life vicariously through my daughter.
I’m so glad that my daughter enjoys sports.
It is great that you have been able to help her find these opportunities.
Thanks for reading my writing:)
My mum also doesn't like deep water when she can't touch the bottom! Great post Anne :)
