In early August, I took my kintsugi class. I brought two of my hand-painted pieces to repair and started working on both of them.

One of my classmates, who is also a friend of mine, brought some sweets and gave me some. I'd heard about the shop from some of my other friends, but I'd never tasted its sweets before. When I took my first bite, I immediately thought it was certainly tasty. My friend told me that the sweet shop closes for the summer, so I need to make sure when it would open.

That day, I told my husband about the sweets. He was interested in trying them, so we visited the shop on the following day.

The sweet shop was established in 1929, which looked old but charming. The shop sells only one type of sweet, which is made by wrapping sweet red beans paste in a mugwort rice cake. The sweets are extremely popular and new customers keep visiting, so they are completely sold out around at 2 pm. Since I learned such information from my friend, we arrived there around 11 am. There were already some customers there.

I asked a shop staff if I could take some photos because I saw the sign saying that photography was not allowed. She let me take some pictures. The inside of the shop looked very simple.

There was an eat-in corner.

We bought twelve, but we regretted not buying more. The shop will open next month again, so we're planning on going there again to buy some. I can't wait!
