Korean men has a duty of military service. If you are between 20 and 39 years old, you must finish your duty. I am from Busan, which is located in south and east seaside. My allocated spot of the duty was east and north directions of Kang-Won province which has high and steep mountains. It means I had to work at very tough and cold region, my hometown is very warm even though. As I heard I will be taking my duty there, I was very shocked and my military mate who were allocated to the same province had a panic face as well. He didn't say anything after he heard the astonishing news. He had been a extroverted guy, but it happened.  

We moved to our new allocated location by a express train. The surprising thing was we were going to GOP region. I don't know whether you hear it before. GOP is a frontier. I see I could look at North Korea's military base. It is just 4km distances. The fact got me looking for escapes. But, I wasn't able to do anything, and I had to accept it with no resistance.
